A mere 53 films were hand-picked from 1,929 submissions, and the just-announced slate (unsurprisingly) looks promising.

Lindsay Lohan ‘fine’ after paramedics called to hotel room

Lindsay Lohan is “fine” after paramedics were called to her hotel room in Marina del Rey, Calif. on Friday, her rep told Celebritology. The actress was checked out and found to be suffering from “some exhaustion and dehydration.”

An initial report from KABC indicated that the actress, who is currently filming the Lifetime movie “Liz & Dick,” was found unconscious and taken to a hospital. But this turned out to be a big false alarm.

“Lindsay worked a grueling schedule the past few days. She was on set last night at 7 p.m. and worked through the night until 8 a.m. this morning,” rep Steve Honig said in a statement. “She took a nap before shooting her final scene. Producers were concerned when she did not come out of her room and called paramedics as a precaution. Lindsay was examined and is fine, but did suffer some exhaustion and dehydration. Lindsay was never taken to a hospital; reports to the contrary are false. She is resting now and is hoping to be back on set later this afternoon.”

A spokesman for the Los Angeles County Fire Department confirmed to Celebritology that officers responded to the 4300 block of Admiralty Way in Marina del Rey at 10:15 a.m. PT Friday. The Ritz-Carlton hotel where Lohan is reportedly staying is located on that block. The officer said the patient, who was not named, was in their 20s and not transported to a hospital by fire officials.
