BALTIMORE — The U.S. Attorney’s Office says a Randallstown man has been sentenced to 30 months in prison for dealing in counterfeit currency in a case that involved the fatal shooting of a co-conspirator by police in July 2010.
Authorities say 32-year-old Daryl S. Bacon also received three years of supervised release.
A Wednesday news release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office says his plea agreement states he and co-conspirator Joshua Cammarata would bleach real $5 bills and reprint them as counterfeit $100 bills.
In July 2010, Baltimore County police fatally shot a third man, 34-year-old Eric Stokes, outside a Pikesville hotel after he fired at officers who confronted him. Police and the U.S. Secret Service had been watching the Ramada Inn on Reisterstown Road as part of the investigation.
