When I wrote about Secretary of Education and former Harvard hoopster Arne Duncan playing at Georgetown’s Kenner League last weekend, I sort of figured that was the peak of our “Cabinet Secretaries Playing Basketball in Unexpected Places” blog coverage.
How wrong I was.
Thursday afternoon, the official Twitter account of the Goodman League at Barry Farm mentioned that Duncan would be showing up for some playground basketball.
Thursday evening, Eric J. Jones snapped this photo of Duncan playing for Team Ullico, a squad which appeared to be winless entering the week.
I have no stats, no performance review, and no highlights. But there is the Secretary of Education, in bright yellow kicks, playing in the Goodman League.
“We got the secretary of education in the gates, will POTUS come next time so we can have two lefties?” Jones asked.
Hey, at this rate, why not?
