Inner Loop backed up in VA

8:40 A.M. UPDATE:

-- I-395 North is pretty backed up as you approach the 14th Street Bridge.

-- The disabled vehicle on the Inner Loop has been cleared, but there are still backups en route to I-66.

-- The Outer Loop is also slow around S. Van Dorn Street.

8:15 A.M. UPDATE:

-- A disabled vehicle on the Inner Loop is blocking the right center lane at I-66. Delays are already considerable, so this won't help.

-- The Inner Loop's left center lane has reopened at Arlington Boulevard, and now only the shoulder is blocked.

-- A disabled vehicle is blocking the Inner Loop's left center lane at Arlington Boulevard.

-- The left lane of I-66 West is still blocked at Sycamore street and it's causing some backups.

7:45 A.M. UPDATE:

The Outer Loop lane has reopened before University Boulevard.

-- An accident on the Outer Loop before University Boulevard is blocking one lane.

-- The Inner Loop is badly backed up en route to I-66.

-- An accident on I-66 West at Sycamore Street in Arlington is blocking the left lane.

-- Veterans Parkway has reopened at U.S. 50.

-- An accident is blocking the northbound right lane of Veterans Parkway at U.S. 50 in Hyattsville.

-- I-95 North is congested in Woodbridge.

-- The Outer Loop lane has reopened in Maryland.

-- The lane on I-95 South in Dale City has also reopened.

Good morning, commuters. Today will be a sunnier and less windy day, so we've got that going for us. Check back here throughout the morning rush for updates on headaches and issues awaiting you on your commute.

-- An accident on I-95 South near Dale City is blocking the right lane and right shoulder.

-- There's also an accident on the Outer Loop north of exit 25 (for U.S. 1/Baltimore Avenue) in College Park, blocking one of the Outer Loop lanes and one of the shoulders.

-- Roadwork on I-270 North at Falls Road is blocking one northbound lane, one northbound local lane and part of the shoulders.

-- Safety inspections on bridges in the District begin this morning, with the right lane on the northbound side of South Capitol Street closed between P Street and Potomac Avenue from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. today.
