UEFA Champions League semifinals: Real Madrid vs. Barcelona, Manchester United vs. Schalke

The second legs of the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals Wednesday lacked drama as Real Madrid finished off Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane in London (1-0 victory, 5-0 aggregate) and Schalke celebrated its surprisingly easy dismissal of visiting Inter Milan (2-1 win, 7-3 aggregate).

So the semifinals are set:

First legs

April 26: Manchester United at Schalke

April 27: Barcelona at Real Madrid

Second legs

May 3: Real Madrid at Barcelona

May 4: Schalke at Manchester United

The final will be played May 28 at Wembley Stadium. If Barcelona and Manchester United face one another, it assures a championship rematch July 30 at FedEx Field outside of Washington when the titans meet in a preseason friendly.
