Dirk, a fairy penguin at Sea World on Queensland's Gold Coast, was stolen from an Australian marine park before being found and returned a day later, but not before being hounded by a dog and chased by another animal, possibly a shark. Police allege three young men broke into Sea World on Queensland's Gold Coast on April 14, swam in the dolphin enclosure and then stole 7-year-old Dirk as they made their escape. They allegedly told police they released Dirk into the Broadwater, a waterway known for its sharks.
