Seven chicks, including the four pictured, were born after farmers in both countries put out nesting boxes in their fields to encourage breeding.

Jason Calvert, from JC's Custom Baits, pulls a snakehead fish into his boat after catching it while fishing in a canal in Weston, Fla. The invasive fish is known for its aggressiveness, eating anything from bass to turtles and an occasional duckling. It is unknown exactly how the species, which is native to parts of Asia, was introduced to the South Florida area, but it concerns people because the presence of an exotic species can alter the ecosystem to the detriment of native species.
