<strong>Titanic 3-D: Experience it Like a Peep</strong> Created by Doug Podolsky and Holly Saunders of Bethesda, Md. Their description: Although no peeps were lost on the tragic day 100 years ago, today they commemorate the anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic by viewing the new James Cameron film in 3-D at the Uptown. The peep audience, wearing 3-D glasses, is riveted by the Titanic story.

<strong>Peepem Hunger Games</strong>, created by Barbara M. Kaplowitz, 66, and Frank Kohn, 56, of Fairfax, Va.; Karen Reed, 61, of Alexandria, Va.; Stephanie Golden, 62, of Burke Va.; Caroline Lewis, 52, of Woodbridge, Va.; and Jan Jeffries, 79, of Springfield, Va. Description: Welcome to the 74th annual Hunger Games in the post-apocalyptic Capitol of the country of Peepem, showing a scene based on the very popular book trilogy and much-anticipated movie. Peepness Everdeen takes the place of her sister Peeprose in a televised battle that serves as part punishment for past rebelliousness and part entertainment for the rich. The scene depicts District 12 tributes Peepness and Peepa Melark in costumes of fire as their chariot enters the stadium and is televised across the country. Also featured are Peepness’ sister Peeprose with her cat, Butterscotch, and friend Gale. You can see Effie, President Snow, and Haymitch sitting in the balcony. Rue sits in the trees, the Cornucopia is full of food, and tools represent the 12 Districts. The Mockingjay is prominently displayed. May the odds be ever in your favor!

<strong>The Hunger Peeps: May the Peeps Be Ever in Your Favor</strong>, Created by 12-year-olds Emma Ward, Meghan Ward, and Tashi Poe, with Susan Ward, 53, all of Vienna, Va.

<strong>Sometimes Peep Happens</strong>, created by Erika Ruiz, Jennifer Bremmer and Maggie Crutchfield, who are coworkers at SOME (So Others Might Eat). Description: Taken from the 2011 award-winning movie 'The Help,' our diaroma depicts the scene where Ms. Hilly Holbrook’s lawn becomes a dumping ground for old toilets as a result of a “typo” in the Junior League newspaper. Much to her dismay, she is all the talk in Jackson, Miss.

<strong>The Battle of Peepwarts</strong>, created by Heather (46), Phoebe (16) and David (14) Bumsted of Alpharetta, Ga.; and Hope Scott, 51, of Great Falls, Va. Description: Harry Peeper and Lord Voldepeep face their final confrontation on the grounds of Peepwarts while friends and foes look on.

<strong>The Peepax</strong>, Created by Kristen Talcott, 28; and Erin Bryant, 29, of Rockville, Md. Their description: This diorama was inspired by Dr. Seuss’s classic environmental tale, The Lorax. In this scene, the title character’s marshmellowy counterpart “the Peepax” has materialized from the stump of a Trufella tree that has been felled by the enterprising “Peep-ler.” Sitting inside his shack, the Peep-ler is in the midst of knitting his first Thnead from the tree’s softer-than-silk foliage. The Peepax speaks for the trees as he warns the Peep-ler that his industrial dreams threaten a fragile ecosystem. Sadly, as anyone who reads the book knows, the genie can’t be put back in the bottle -- smugulous smoke, gluppity glup and starvation of the native Bar-ba-loots follows. The entry is made of felted wool, pipe cleaners, sculpey, card board, acrylic, colored pencil, false eyelashes, and ink. As a bonus, the mysterious man (or chick) behind the Peep-ler’s disembodied arms is finally revealed.

<strong>Peeptanic</strong>, created by Rachel Cali

<strong>My Peep Will Go On</strong>, created by Ian Marpuri, 22, and Elena Hoffnagle, 22, of Washington D.C. Description: In honor of the 100th anniversary of the Titanic's sinking and (more importantly) the release of the movie in 3D, we have our two movie watchers (turned around so you can see their 3D glasses) watching a movie so real that the water is splashing on them. There's a lifeboat rescuing people, desperate passengers jumping off, and even Jack (Leonardo DiCaPeepo) and Rose (Kate Winspeep) holding on for dear life.

<strong>The Peepist</strong>, created by Erika Stratmann, 29, of Arlington, Va. Description: A Peeps spin on the award-winning film 'The Artist.' The Peepist presents the scene in which George Valentine is kissed by Peepy Miller at the PeEp Street Cinema premiere of his latest silent film, “A D.C. Affair.” Little does George know, the next morning his wife will read the bold headline, “Who’s that Peep?” on the front page of the Washington Peep.

<strong>King Peep</strong>, created by Noel and Kathryn Izon. Description: This is our second time entering the Washington Post Peeps Contest. For our maiden effort, we recreated Boris Karloff's 1931 'Frankenstein' and it was one of the semifinalists for 2010. Being film buffs, we go back to our inspiration of art deco movies from the 30s, this time depicting the tragic love and final moments of King King as enacted by Peeps.

C<strong>owboys and Aliens and Peeps</strong>, created by Rebecca and Johanna Ostrich, both 28, of Arlington, Va. In the ultimate genre mash-up of cowboys, aliens, and Peeps, our heroes show us what they’re made of—corn syrup, potassium sorbate, blue no. 1, and a whole lot of guts!

<strong>Star Peeps</strong>. Description: Darth Peep and Luke Peepwalker duel on the peepwalk in the battle of good vs evil. Master Peep Yoda confronts the peeptroopers with the help of Princess Leia Peep and Han Solo Peep.

<strong>Field of Peeps</strong>: Created by Holly Koppel, 34, and Jeremy Koppel, 33, of Sterling, Va. Description: My wife had previously never seen the famous Kevin Costner film, 'Field of Dreams', but after watching it a few times one weekend, she laughed saying, 'How funny would it be if the baseball players were Peeps?' And so a project was born.

<strong>Danke Peep</strong>, Created by Ashley and Kevin Scott, age 39, Arlington Va. Their description: Peep, his girlfriend, and his hypochondriac best friend blow off school for the day to explore Chicago as only young Peeps can.

<strong>The Peep with the Dragon Tattoo</strong>, created by Sara Cardello, 29, of Washington D.C. Description: Lispeep Salander arrives on Hedapeep Island to assist Kalle Bloomquist.

<strong>Goldpeeper: License to Peep</strong>, created by Jacqueline V. Eyl, 45, Ethan Chanin, 10, Jacob Chanin, 13, all of Washington, D.C. Description: Goldpeeper was made in honor of the 50th anniversary of the Jame's Bond films. This 'Goldfinger' scene includes James Bond, Odd Job (Goldfinger's sidekick) and of course the Bond Girl victim, painted gold. Underneath you can see Q's Lab where Q just finished tricking out the Aston Martin DB5 as well as several spy gadgets.
