Failed attack highlights airport screening procedures

The lapses in aviation security that allowed Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab to board a flight for Detroit on Christmas Day, allegedly carrying explosives hidden from most security procedures, have led to increased attention to the implementation of body-screening measures to thwart such attempts.
